This 1933 Indy Race Car is a „Museum Quality“ tribute of the actual car raced & built by Phil Shafer at Indianpolis 500 races in the early 1930’s. It was imported to the U.S. in March f 2018 and is a street legal tribute car in California. Handcrafted at Hott Rod Chavik by Stanley Chavik.

Motor, Transmission, & Rear Differential/Axle

Authentic Buick Straight 8 OHV Engine of 248 c.i.d. Racing Indy 5 speed manual transmission Racing 9in. rear axle positraction Racing Bend x front axle 12in. hydraulic brakes.

Intake & Exhaust Manifolds

Racing Intake is custom made correctly to support 4 Stromberg 97 Carburetors. Racing Exhaust is custom made correctly to support a single period racing manifold.

Frame & Body

Built meticulously per period correct drawings found for 1930’s Indy 500 race cars. Frame is a curate, correct, and made of steel. Body is accurate, correct, and mad of hand-formed aluminum sheets.
